Terms of service
GPnav Hub and GPnav Notify. Last updated 17 October 2026.
These terms cover the use of GPnav Hub and GPnav products, including the GPnav Notify browser extension, by GP practices and their staff. The services are sold by Tower Family Healthcare Partnership under the GPnav brand ("GPnav", "we") and built and hosted by Xnet Technology Ltd. A practice's order or signed agreement with GPnav, where there is one, takes priority over these terms.
1. Accounts
- The practice is responsible for who it gives a GPnav Hub login or licence key to, and for removing access when someone leaves.
- Keep passwords and keys private. Tell us straight away if you think one has been misused.
- A licence key is for one member of staff and works in one Chrome and one Edge browser profile at the same time.
2. Licences and payment
- Licences run for the period ordered. When a licence ends or is not paid for, the product stops working until it is renewed.
- We may suspend a practice's licences if invoices are overdue or the service is being misused, and will tell the practice first where we can.
- Prices and payment terms are as agreed when ordering.
3. Using GPnav Notify
- Notify helps staff send messages through Patchs. Staff remain responsible for checking each message is right for the patient before confirming it. Notify never sends anything without a member of staff clicking to confirm, unless the practice turns on automatic sending.
- The practice is responsible for the box rules and message wording it sets up, and for using Patchs in line with its own policies and Patchs' terms.
- Notify works with Patchs but is not made, endorsed or supported by Patchs. If Patchs changes its pages, Notify may stop working for a while. We will aim to fix it promptly, usually centrally without staff needing to do anything. While it is not working, Patchs works as normal.
- Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the extension or GPnav Hub, or use them to try to access data you are not allowed to see.
4. Data
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy. GPnav products are designed so that no patient data reaches GPnav. Practices must not put patient details into GPnav Hub, for example in licence labels or messages to support.
5. Availability and support
We aim to keep GPnav Hub available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance. If GPnav Hub cannot be reached, Notify keeps working for up to 3 days. Support is by email to appsupport@gpnav.net during UK working hours.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by Patchs or other third-party systems, and our total liability in any year is limited to the fees the practice paid for the product concerned in that year.
7. Ending
A practice can stop using the services at any time; licences already paid for are not refunded unless agreed otherwise. We may end the service on reasonable notice. Sections 4 and 6 continue after the end.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do; significant changes will be emailed to practice owners. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
